No patio updates today.
Last night, instead of ripping the other half of the patio roof off, I needed to clean out my car. You see, I needed to clean out my car because we will be loading it up with provisions for a weekend of epic camping and hiking.
Extreme hiking....
We will be scaling a rock face "via ferrata".....by iron.
This was not my idea. I'm afraid. Very afraid.
And out of shape.
There is also a suspension bridge which I will probably not have the huevos to cross.
We will be doing Via Ferrata at Nelson Rocks Outdoor Center in WV. If I don't make it, thank you for reading my blog :)
So to prepare for our epic weekend, I did some epic car cleaning. My car looks new again! Here are some before pics....
(And this is after I had taken out all the junk I store in my car. It's my mobile storage unit.)
Gross.
After some vacuuming and Armor All wiping, I busted out the big dawg.
My sister's carpet shampooer. This thing is AWESOME. I highly recommend talking a family member or close friend into buying one so you can borrow it.
It took my car from this....
To this!
It took me three hours to completely clean the car but it was SO worth it. My car is also car we use to take Pea to the dog park, so the back seat was filthy. Now we can take off on our camping trip in a fresh clean car. And dirty it up again with muddy/stinky gear when we come home on Sunday :)
Have a great weekend!

the mountain photos are fantastic! Happy weekend

ReplyDeleteThat looks crazy awesome! I'm so jealous - even though I would be terrified too. Have an awesome time. Car looks great!
ReplyDeleteHoly crap - you have more huevos than I do for sure! Although my hubby would be right up there in an instant. We have the craziest photos of him dangling from a rock face at Red Rock Canyon that just make me so nervous! Have a great time - if you don't make it, I'll miss your posts...
ReplyDeleteOh boy.... you are the brave one aren't you! If my hubby suggested something like this... I'd send my son with him instead! Have fun and remember... don't look down!
ReplyDeletedee dee
Haha I've been repeating "don't look down" to myself for the last week! Scared!
