Quick patio update

Roof is off!

Our patio last week...

As expected, the outside beams were in pretty bad shape...rotting, mossy and falling apart.

So I ripped 'em off!

Luckily the rest of the roof beams looked good! Good enough to hold the new roof panels at least.

Now that we're down to the bare bones, all we have to do is install the new roof panels (easy right?.....hmmm)  

It's almost a shame to put a new roof on because the patio is so nice and light without it. We considered clear or white panels that would let more light through but we have two huge trees in our backyard that drop seeds and leaves all the time. I feel like we would have to clean off a clear roof constantly to keep it looking nice. So we took the lazy route and bought the tin panels (I think they're actually steal but whatever). I'm hoping the finished product will look something like this?
